MINER

Miner have been laborers for many generations; in fact they live in the mines. Spending their whole lives underground, they perfected their mineral extraction skills. Fighting giant rats that inhabit the depths, they excelled in using knives and guns. They also developed high resistance to rat's poison. Miners stick together and will fight as a group, especially when confronted underground, which makes them a real challenge for anyone. Having learned to not be wasteful, they manage to retain some resources even if they lose in combat. They dislike heavy weaponry - carrying a heavy sack of minerals on the back and a massive machine gun is a bit too much for them. Miners are not as comfortable outdoors, where they have to move slowly and carefully and do not like long range weaponry to say the least.

Becoming a miner:
No one will say that looking for gold and gems in the dark and damp pits of the mines is an easy task, but anyone who ever found something rare knows the it is worth the efforts. No one knows for sure where the legend about the Underground Sun comes from. Some day, they say, in the darkest of times, the ore you are mining will reveal the greatest gem - rarest of minerals, and the light of the gem will be as bright as the sun itself. Although this is just a legend, some of the prewar geological reference books say that the mine tunnels around the present day city are rich with rare and precious minerals finding which will help you prove your professional skill.
