Mantis - Mantis. Prewar books describe these creatures as small insects that primarily feed on plants and really small insects. As a result of extreme radiation these insects turned into terrible and deadly creatures. Their size and physical abilities make them a formidable enemy to every living creature. In natural settings they feed on Vzziks and are not considered to be a threat to humans but during migration periods they can become very aggressive. Mantises are quite dangerous in close combat where they try to stab their target with their front legs that look like giant blades. A successful stab can and often will cause temporary blindness or paralysis of the victim.
